Veggies not vegging. Yes, I know - I would rather veg out on the couch with a bag of Doritos too. But alas, Doritos are apparently bad for you (according to my doctor.) Instead my beautiful readers, I give you: THE IMPORTANCE OF VEGGIES.
So obviously vegetables are healthy. We all know this. It's like the first thing people make sure you learn. However, for the longest time, I thought vegetables sucked. That is - until I discovered new ways to prepare them. For instance: did you know you can juice vegetables? Like put a whole carrot through a machine that takes all of the pulp and other shit in a carrot and turns that orange fucker into juice?! Dude, I know, shit is cray. You can drink your vegetables now.
However if that isn't your cup of tea (or juice), then you can also roast those bastards in the oven. Like pretend that you're cooking a chicken and instead: cover those veggies in an olive oil bath and then toss 'em into the oven with some seasoning and BAM! - you got some roasted vegetables!
And if cooking is boring to you, have no fear! It was to me too. Until - I discovered the art of plating. I can take basic food and make that nutritional shit look dope AF with a plating tip I call "Do It For The Insta." Yes fam, plate that fucker for the 'gram. Instagram has given me so much help with food inspiration. So many young people these days have found joy in showing off their plating talents on Instagram and their skills have inspired me! Searching through hashtags such as #foodie #foodporn #plating and #platingskills have literally changed my life. Food presentation is everything. And if cooking isn't your thing, at least you can appreciate the art and time taken to create such beautiful edible art.
